Dillon’s Park is named after a local family who were some of the original residents in the area.
The park was founded in the early 1990s by a group of local residents who saw the potential for the site to be developed into a public park. The park was officially opened to the public in 1994 and has since become a popular spot for both locals and visitors to Dalkey.
The Dillons Park Festival is the biggest event to be held at the park and takes place every year in June. The festival celebrates the local community with a range of activities and entertainment on offer, including live music, food stalls, face painting and much more.
The park also has fully accessible hiking trails that connect to Grampus Lake. The trails are approximately three miles long. There’s an Osprey viewing area and docks for fishing. Visitors can also enjoy the park’s picnic areas and overnight camping. There are lean-tos and picnic areas for those who prefer a rustic experience.

Winter (October-March): 9am-5pm
